About me
My name is Alli Phanthavong. I am based in the Philadelphia, PA area, and I offer personalized run coaching and session training plans.
Athletics, and specifically running, have always been a part of my life. I am a secondary English teacher and a coach for runners of all ages and abilities. My time is mostly spent being active with my husband & 2 children, family and friends. Fitness and movement is a part of my every day.
I can offer a structured, realistic plan to help you reach your goals, while keeping in mind the realities of daily life. I am full of energy and love to help motivate those around me. I love to encourage people to set and achieve their goals.

Philosophy
Passion
They say when you've found light in your life you've found your passion. And when you find that fire, keep it lit. My running story began at just 8 years old. From the youthful glory days, to overcoming injuries and non-supportive environments, to the boomerang of personal racing while building my career, and my most recent post-baby bounce back, there is no doubt that running is my fire and the piece that keeps me grounded yet moving forward at the same time.
After my first year of coaching in 2010, I realized that I found an even bigger reward in helping other runners to accomplish their goals. While I still have my own running goals to pursue, I know coaching is an essential milestone on my path in life. My genuine interest in running, biology and sports psychology combined with my commitment to collaborate with fellow coaches and athletes along the way keeps my philosophy and program expanding and evolving.
Purpose
The purpose of AMP Run Club is to create a safe, supportive training club for runners (walkers and joggers) of all abilities and experience levels to achieve their fitness goals. Our lives, and likewise our minds and bodies, are constantly evolving. Lifestyles are meant to be dynamic- and with that, there is no one-size-fits-all model for individuals to train (and definitely not an AI generated plan for everyone!). What works for you one year, or even one month, might not be the same thing that works the next.
My training philosophy errs on the side of quality over quantity, and takes inspiration from Daniel's framework, V02 max, the 5 paradigms of running, and from all of the athletes I've encountered in my life thus far. I encourage individuals to value consistent effort and frequently revisit goals as part of a developing a plan that works for each person.
